Included son John but no other family members 1830 Marriage of William was at Fayette Co., Pa. 1835 Oct 1 Granted two different land patents in Woodstock Township, one of 160 acres, the other of 120 acres 1844 Aug 21 Columbus Enquirer: David Binns administrator in bankruptcy for Harris County 1846 Jan 28 ; Feb 4, Feb 25; 1847 Jul 27, Aug 24 Columbus Enquirer: David Binns is deputy sheriff of Harris County 1847 Jun granted certificate by Redstone to Short Creek with wife [1905 Biography by James J King: David Binns, grandfather of our subject, was born in England and there followed the brewing business, which he continued after settling in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Society of Friends and thus was led to abandon his brewery, it being against the tenets of the Quaker faith to manufacture spirituous liquors. William Binns accompanied his parents to America when eight years old. HOWEVER J Howard Binns says in 21 Oct 1818 David and Margaret with seven children (two having died in England) came to America on the ship Juno.
