‏[1853 May 28 Huddersfield Chronicle: The opening dinner of the Goderich Lodge of the modern druids was held for 80 persons at the house of Mrs Jane Binns, Upper George Inn, Spring Street.
1853 Jun 25 Leeds Mercury: Jane Binns of the Upper George beer house, Spring Street, Huddersfield, complained to the court that one of her customers had been drunk and disorderly and had also caused suffering to a cat.
1854 Feb 25 Leeds Times: Mrs Jane Binns of the Upper George beer-house in Spring Street, was charged with permitting disorderly conduct in her house at half-past two in the morning. Lame excuses made by her son and daughters. Fined 10s with 9s costs
1856 Apr 19 Huddersfield Chronicle: 3 men charged with damaging a cupboard the property of Thomas Binns of Castlegate. Mrs Jane Binns was the complainant. The beerhouse was the property of her husband, but the name of Mrs Catherin Brewer was placed over the door.
1857 Sep 5 Huddersfield Chronicle: Henry Hirst charged with assaulting Jane Binns, beerhouse keeper, Spring Street
1859 Mar 19 Huddersfield Chronicle: Jane Binns, Druid's Arms beerhouse, Castlegate was charged with having her house open during prohibited hours on a Sunday. Fined 10s and costs.
